No Paperback Available

I'm sorry to say that there will not be a printed paperback for When It Ends/Aftermath. Createspace is still not working like it had for the other books, it claims you can upload the file in PDF and docx. Both will not work. With the docx version, it only uploads 168 pages and then cuts off. And with PDF, it claims it cannot read it. I'm not sure what else to do to make it work.
So, I think I will try something different. I plan on writing it all out on paper. And since I don't have access to a printer or a copy machine, this will be a unique thing here. I think I will write at least 10 by hand and make them available for purchase. So, it will be a rare opportunity that I'm doing for those interested in receiving a hand written version of When It Ends/Aftermath.
Interested? Then please, send an email requesting one.
To make it better, for these first 10 I'm gonna write out, I will not charge any money. Hell, I could even add a personal message. Guess make this into the first Giveaway I have ever done (short from the free week for them on Amazon), except this will be different.
Just email me at ana_25michael2014@outlook.com
If you want to take advantage of this.

When It Ends/Aftermath Available Now

Hope everyone is having a great day. After all the trouble of trying to work on it, When It Ends/Aftermath is finally available for purchase on Amazon Kindle. I'm still working on how I can release it in paperback, but that could take some time.
It's available in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Japan, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Australia, India.
Paperback will be available eventually, I will make sure of that.

Setback

Good day everyone again. I'm just posting to let you know that there was a minor setback in When It Ends/Aftermath. I usually release it through Createspace, but unfortunately, they kept messing up. It would only upload up to 168 pages and they didn't upload the cover right. So instead of Createspace, the book will be available on Amazon very soon. It'll be on Kindle (maybe even paperback) for $3.00 and $0.99 through Amazon Kindle Matchbook.
Through Amazon Kindle, it will be available in all countries and many languages. I got to see a preview of the book, it will have 3,678 pages, be about .38 MB I believe.
For the release, it will be available in the U.S. in 24 hours and available in other countries in 48 hours.
Thank you for your patience.
Haha, I was thinking if it didn't work on Amazon Kindle, then my next solution was going to write copies out by hand and sell them that way.

WHEN IT ENDS/AFTERMATH

Good day everyone. It took years to finish, but the announcement for you is: When It Ends/Aftermath is complete. It will be available soon, within 24 to 48 hours and the cover is complete. I drew it in a series of shadings and dots, signed the cover, and wrote the title down.
I'm glad to be done, because I was losing a lot of sleep and drinking way too much coffee over this final book.
The cover won't be in a glossy finish like the others, I figured it would be better done in a matte finish, seemed more fitting for a drawn cover.
In When It Ends/Aftermath, you will finally be introduced to the SGC and what they're all about. There's plenty of character deaths and of course the violence and language use.
Visit my Instagram, @ariana_torralba91, to see the front cover art. I plan on sharing it on here as well.
For a final sample, here is a short part from the book.

"Do you think things will ever go back to normal?"
Justin scoffed," was it ever normal?" He laughed and glanced at Alex.
Alex smiled and shook his head," I'm serious, Justin. Will it ever go back to normal? Y'know, no zombies. Those remaining are back to living their lives, carefree. Couples having babies and raising kids, having a family to support, working, going to school and whatever else."
"You can still do all that," Justin insisted," you can still live life. Fighting the undead and finding supplies, that is your job. All of us, we are a family and support one another. School is learning the skills needed for survival. You can still have kids, but it will be harder until they're old enough."
"But wouldn't someone want to stay in a stable place to raise kids?" Justin shrugged.
"Maybe, but these days, it's best to just be classified as a nomad, Alex." His brother stared off, thinking about the world.

And Closer

Good day to you all. I had planned to have the final book ready for Halloween, but it looks like I'll be done before then. Maybe this week even. I'm to the climax of the final part. Like I said before, most of the characters will be killed off, probably the only book of the series with the most character deaths (aside from Apocalypse World/Survive).
Just wanted to let you know that I'm almost done with When It Ends/Aftermath and of course, to share a sample again as I near the finish line.

The door opened and Derek walked out, taking a pack of cigarettes out and a lighter. Alex looked around again, a stray undead wandering towards him. He backed away toward the other side of the dugout. Waiting for the moment, the infected man walked over and lunged at him.
Derek, taking a smoke break, heard a yell across the ball field, loud shrieking and growling coming from the other side. Keeping his gun leveled, he rushed over. Running around the dug out, Derek observed, when the snarling happened to his right.
Turning his green eyes, standing at the door opening of the building, was Alex.

Closer To The Ending

Hello, been awhile again. I've been busy with family issues, as well as allergies, babysitting, and writers block. But tonight, I have done more work on the last book, When It Ends/Aftermath. Making progress and more character deaths. In the end, there will be at least three or two living characters left behind.
In the final book, if you have read the other books, you'll know the character Trevor. He goes off the deep end in the final book. You also are finally introduced to the SGC and what they're all about. The cover is ready and soon, the book will be ready and available for purchase.
I can't wait, because it'll be a relief for me to finally have it complete. Like some writers (I think), I do regret killing off certain characters. And my regret is killing off Justin, Alex's brother that had started and led the main characters.
In the meantime, I am planning on creating separate pages for each book (an idea brought up). The separate pages will have summaries, links to where they are available, and maybe the list of characters and a short background about them.
Here is a short sample from When It Ends/Aftermath for you. Enjoy and have a great night/day.

Andy screamed in pain and hit the guy in the head with the rifle he held. Dillon, seeing his best friend now infected, pointed his rifle and fired a couple shots. The bullets hitting Andy in the side of his head, he stopped struggling and dropped back against the wall, sinking down.
Alex climbed over the kitchen table and shoved it over, knocking a few down as he ran out of the kitchen. Dillon, reaching the archway of the kitchen, felt the numerous hands pull him back into the kitchen. He gripped the sides, trying to hold tightly as his fingers turned red.
Screaming, he yelled and shut his eyes tight as the hands and teeth dug into his back. Alex stopped and looked back at the painful scene before the decayed hands gripped Dillon's face, pulling him back.
Alex, grabbing the bags up, realized the front door was left open. "Fuck," he mumbled and ran out, slamming the door shut and running down the steps. He ran out into the middle of the road and looked north then all around. "Brent?!" Silence. "Pauline! Dustin!"
He wasn't sure where they went, but he didn't want to waste time finding them. He turned and ran back towards Anadarko, overlooking the fire ahead, Dillon's screams dying into the night.

Good Night/Morning

Hello again. Been working on the book. Unfortunately, I am sick, nothing bad, just allergies. The weather fluctuates so much here that I seem to have year round allergies. Have a scratchy throat and sneezing. I'll be better soon though. Been back into Panic At The Disco and The Young Veins again. Spent earlier today outside, playing the bass guitar and singing to their music. It was relaxing. For awhile.
Anyways, I hope to have the last book finished finally, soon. So much debating on who should be killed off in the final book. I have finished the cover as well and just need to write he rest of it. It's a little difficult writing it up on my phone, my laptop is still messed up. I have Microsoft Office on my phone, but I guess since I have typed so much, it's to the point of not showing me what I typed until I save it. It's a bit frustrating. Anyways, I'm making progress as long as I have music and coffee. Below is another part from When It Ends/Aftermath. It's a conversation that Alex has with a character from another book I wrote years ago. Enjoy.

"Peter. He came into the bar, sweating like he had a fever. The guy looked young, maybe your age, or a little older. Poor guy looked ill as hell. He ordered a beer. Around that time, this guy that is always causing trouble, a bully, mind you. Came in and tried to threaten Peter. I recall Peter kept telling him he would leave if he keeps back... The kid, God, I can't remember his damn name! Anyways, he swung and punched the guy in the mouth and kept hitting him. I stopped it and forced the kid to leave. Layla walked over to help Peter up, but he urged her to stay back. He ran out. Later that night, hardly fifteen minutes later, that kid got violently sick, died, then turned in seconds. What made it worse was, he was at a pool party. That virus made your skin appear gray and brown, rotting from the inside out. You vomited and then died. The town was overrun then and these people showed up in helicopters. They blocked the entire vicinity off, no one was allowed to leave. We hid Peter down in this quarantine room in the closed down hospital. Half the people that came there, died and turned."
"How did you and the others get out?"
"We escaped. Had to fight through it, but, we got out. Climbed over the fencing and ran off into the trees. Before sunrise, they bombed the town. On the news they claimed it was a gas line issue in the town. We hid out in Oklahoma, then, they released another virus that made people sick and turning again. It was different than the one in town. The one here was spread easily, like the flu or ebola. You came in contact with bodily fluids, even sneezing and coughing, could get you sick. It made people vomit blood, bleed from their eyes, mouth, a high fever, and everything."
As Alex listened, he could picture it happening, and then recalled when Kyle explained it to them, going word for word on how Guy had died. He died from the virus. Hearing about these two first, unknown cases, made Alex realize how this current virus could be worse.

Back To Work!!

Greetings to you all. Sorry I haven't posted much lately, been going through issues and writers block. But now, I am back to finishing the last book, When It Ends/Aftermath. You know, I tried leaving romance out of the first books because I figured adding romance into a zombie apocalypse would kill the story; but there have been some that told me to add romance, or that it needs at least a little romance (closest to romance was Holly and her attempts at keeping a boyfriend, up until he dies from the infected). So, in this final book, I will be adding some romance. Not only between new characters (before they die), but finally someone for Avery. It's a bit of a struggle, but all I will say is it'll be her and either Alex, Trevor, or one of the members of the SGC. One of those gentlemen will finally steal her heart. That's about as close to romance as the book will get.
Speaking of the SGC, hope you will like those guys. Unlike the main characters and the SGO, they have mastered the art of surviving the apocalypse.
New characters will be in the final book as well as references to two other books that take place before When The Dead Came, along with a previous survivor from one of the books I haven't released. Will Alex finally lose it and go off the deep end? Especially after losing his brother. Below is a sample from When It Ends/Aftermath that involves what Trevor I up to, as well as a new character. Enjoy.

They walked out of the building, the sky becoming cloudy. They walked along the street, when Trevor began to take out his handgun. Kevin, looking toward a glass window to a historical building, seen Trevor raise the gun to the back of his head.
Kevin turned, gripping Trevor's right wrist and twisting, a shot ringing out into the sky. Trevor attempted to fight with Kevin, but the older guy proved to be more skilled and quick. Kevin threw a right hit against Trevor's left cheek, knocking him down.
Trevor pulled his knife and ran at him. Kevin kept the blade at bay, trying to plan his next move, not aware that they were being watched from the distance. Kevin and Trevor went slamming into a glass window, hitting the tile floor as molded food fell off the tables they knocked over.
Trevor, grabbing a large shard of glass, lifted and stabbed down into Kevin's left leg. "Argh!!!!" Kevin yelled in pain and grabbed up a glass plate, smashing it down across Trevor's face, knocking the guy unconscious for a moment.
Kevin slowly stood, pressing his hands up onto the broken window. Climbing out, he heard a gun shot, the bullet speeding pass his face. As he ran, another shot rang and he felt his side get hit. " Fuck," he yelled, holding his side as he kept running. No matter the pain, he had to keep going. He didn't intend on dying now.

Free Promotion Coming Up

Just posting to say September 1st and until September 5th, there will be a free promotion for Apocalypse World/Survive on Amazon Kindle.
Haven't done much work on the last book lately due to writers block, a week of babysitting, and struggling with other personal issues going on for me. It will be done soon though, I can guarantee that much.
Patience and understanding is appreciated.

Suggestions?

Hello world, hope everything is going well for you as it is for me right now. Been busy with writing, stress of course setting in, and other personal problems going on here.
But, alas, When It Ends/Aftermath is coming along smoothly. Like I said before, characters will be killed off. Plenty of them. It's the final book of the series and the cover will be special.
I'm halfway through the middle and have been thinking of ways I can be more interactive with all of you.
So far I have created a Facebook page, Twitter, and Instagram. Not sure what else I can do.
Maybe start a Google Hangout? Skype time? Or a series of questions I can ask all of you? Maybe I can answer any questions that are emailed to me about the book series. Who knows, I could even share the questions and answers on here as an individual page.
I will figure it out. Like I said, I welcome questions that are sent to my email at ana_25michael2014@outlook.com

I will share another excerpt from the final book in awhile. If not tonight, then expect it in the afternoon tomorrow.
Back to writing I go.

Half Way There

Hello, good day to everyone. Been busy with cleaning and writing another book (not related to the When The Dead Came series). But, today, will be dedicated to working on When It Ends/Aftermath.
Around the time I do publish the last book, I think I will do a free promotion for Apocalypse World/Survive.
Most of the characters will be killed off as well or disappear. As before, here is another sample from When It Ends/Survive.

Frowning, he felt his nose and pulled his fingers away. Blood. He tried to wipe it away, making the blood run even more.
He bent forward and threw up four times. Staring down at the dark puddle of blood, clots within, made his stomach turn again. "Oh shit," he breathed, still tasting the vomit.
Turning around, he became dizzy and stumbled, hitting his back against the wall. No longer caring, he sunk to the floor. As he coughed, blood drops came out as he felt weaker than ever. His head burning as he heard the infected beating on the door.
Slowly, he took the gun out, his bloodied hands smearing the weapon. Raising the gun, the young guy pressed the barrel to his head and pulled the trigger.
His arm dropped as his hand still gripped the weapon loosely, his head went forward. A lifeless corpse now, trapped in the room where the airborne virus was free.

There's more to come, little by little. That's all for now, I'm going to return to writing. Remember you can follow me on social media sites too. If you enjoy the books or interested in them, feel free to send an email to me at ana_25michael2014@outlook.com

Another Day of Writing

Hello to everyone again. I have been working, not only on the last book, but also been working on another horror based book. It's taking a different turn than the When The Dead Came series. It's not apocalyptic based or zombie based, but more of a psychological horror book.
Anyways, hope everyone enjoyed the free promotion that ended in the 16th. If you missed it, then that's okay, because soon Apocalypse World/Survive will be available free for a short time. I decided to share a longer sample of When It Ends/Aftermath. To let you know now, there is some language use in this excerpt. Enjoy:

She looked back at Alex and realized he had his eyes closed, his hands limply resting on his lap. Feeling her heart leap, she rushed over and gently shook his shoulder.
"Alex," she said and shook him again," Alex!" The others looked over, realizing he wasn't moving. "Alex!" Brandon ran through the others and moved her aside.
"Let me do this," he ordered. He checked for a pulse on the side of the young guy's neck.
"Oh my God, is he dead? Did he die," Holly cried out, her hands over her mouth.
"Do something! Help him, for fuck's sake," Trent yelled at Brandon.
"What the hell do you think I'm doing," he snapped back and took out a small light. He shined it into Alex's eyes and he moved Alex, setting him to the side and checking his pulse again. They continued shouting at Brandon and he began to get angry at them that he turned and snapped.
"Shut the fuck up already! I can't concentrate with you people!" He looked back at Alex and checked his pulse again. "Shit," he said out loud and laid Alex back down. He began CPR and they watched as he tried to bring Alex back.

And that is it for today, my friends. Also been taking a break due to running out of coffee. So, I will be right back on track soon.

When It Ends/Aftermath Sample

Good evening. Been busy again with writing and drawing. Also been hot everyday, so cut down on the coffee and increase the water intake. Plenty of action in the last book, and more of a background.
By the way, today and tomorrow, the final days before When The Dead Came 1 & 2 is no longer free for Kindle! The promotion is almost over. But, soon Apocalypse World/Survive will be available free for so many days; and of course, will be releasing When It Ends/Aftermath with a unique cover design.
Below is another little tidbit from When It Ends/Aftermath, enjoy:

He nodded and he and Howard gestured for everyone to keep against the wall. The both of them stood on either side of the door. Kevin listened, hearing a small cough and he looked at Howard. He reached and twisted the knob, but it didn't budge.
Moving aside, Howard stood in front of the door and kicked it, forcing the door to open and hit hard against the wall. He and Kevin rushed in, aiming their rifles. "Put your hands up," Avery heard Kevin order. The others rushed in and she observed those in the room.

Found The Cover Drawing

Hello and hope everyone is enjoying their night (or morning, for my friends overseas). Been busy writing still and good news, I finally found the sketch book with the cover drawing for the last two, When It Ends/Survive. So I am back to working on the cover.
What makes this cover special? It's drawn. The first three covers were photos of my actual zombie makeup efx I did myself, which are viewable on my Instagram. I also have been drawing the cover for sometime now and should be done soon. It will be revealed when the book is ready for purchase.
Plenty will be revealed in the last two books as well as plenty of characters deaths/demise.
Oh, also will share some "interesting" facts about the series. If you're interested in facts. Soon there will be a free promotion to Apocalypse World/Survive, as well as When The Dead Came 1 & 2. That's all for now, just checking in on here. As promised, here is a small sample of When It Ends/Aftermath:

Back in her "home", she dropped down onto her knees and dug through the bag, taking out the Eagle AE that she kept from Cleveland's SGO. The stranger ran into the room and she pointed the gun at him. The guy raised his hands, still holding his gun.

A Sample Of When It Ends/Aftermath

Hello, nice day today and I hope it is for all of you too. Been writing since I got up this noon. Mainly coffee, music, and writing. Plenty of action in this final book. If you read Survive, then you already know Avery made it away from Bull Creek alive. Since the last two books are going to be longer, I'll be sharing a little more sections from the books.
So, for you, a part from the book, When It Ends/Aftermath:

She began to walk back, when a shriek sound startled her. Looking to her right, an infected man in a striped button down shirt and jeans dove onto her from Horror. Avery put her arms up and the both of them fell to the floor, her back hitting hard and the crow bar sliding across the floor, three feet from her left hand.
"Oh fuck," she screamed out as she kept her hands against his shoulders, trying hard to keep him from digging his disease ridden nails into her skin. This is it, she told herself, I am going to finally die before the Horror section of a library.
Avery screamed, feeling her arms getting weak, not able to fight against the strength of a zombie.

That's about it for today. Time to get back to writing. Have a good day!

Checking In On The Holiday

Hey everyone. Haven't posted in awhile, been busy elsewhere; but I am working on the final two books: When It Ends/The Aftermath. Plenty will be revealed, as well as a bit of information on the outbreak and other viruses.
These last two will be longer than the other books, so that's something to look forward to. Thinking of sharing facts about the series, been planning that out for sometime actually. Some of it is a bit fascinating (if you are into knowing the facts behind books). Will be doing more drawings, but sadly, still can't find the sketch book that has the cover I drew for these two last books.
I will be returning to writing now, just wanted to post an update.

Another Character Drawing...

Hope everyone is having a good day. About to start writing the last book, but I did another drawing of another main character (viewable on Instagram and Twitter). This one I think I drew the nose too long. But I did my best. Here is: Avery.

Aside from that, enjoying the music of Linkin Park and Fort Minor.
I will be sharing short parts from the final book. It should be much longer than the other books.
So, look forward to When It Ends.

Drawing The Main Characters

Checking in. Going to start the final book of the series soon. There will be more of the SGC and their background is further looked into. As well as more characters.
During my free time today, I decided to draw what the characters look like (from my imagination of course) and so far, I have drawn one.
So, here is the first one that will be available to see on the home page: Alex.

Finishing Apocalypse World/Survive

Hello, hope everyone's day has been decent. Mine started out well, took an odd turn, and then back to normal. Finished Survive, proofreading is almost done and then it will be ready on Createspace and Amazon soon.
Much is revealed in Survive. Now, I'm close to the ending of the series, which is titled When It Ends.
From the little part I revealed from Survive the other day, you learn of the SGC, the infamous group that the character Seth mentions in Apocalypse World.
When It Ends will be available in the months to come.
I am also working on other stories (currently of different genres: Drama, romance, comedy, and horror). The horror story should be ready by Halloween.
For now, relaxation and pretty soon, I'll announce Apocalypse World/Survive.

A Little Free Time To Share

Taking a break for a bit from working on Survive. If you learned anything about me, you may have gotten it that for my writing process, I like to have coffee and listen to music. I know I can't be the only one, but when writing, I like to listen to certain music genres. It's kind of like a "sound track" to my writing that fits the mood.
If When The Dead Came series had an actual sound track, it would consist of rock and metal music. While writing, I set up a playlist, and in the playlist for my series, there are songs by: Linkin Park (The Catalyst), Chevelle (Get Some), Korn (Narcissistic Cannibal), Mushroomhead (Simple Survival), In This Moment (Sick Like Me), Muse (Take A Bow), Deuce (Bad Attitude), 30 Seconds To Mars (The Kill), System Of A Down (Suggestions), Avenged Sevenfold (Tonight The World Dies), Marilyn Manson (The Nobodies), Tool (Sober), A Perfect Circle (Judith), Nine Inch Nails (Survivalism), Hollywood Undead (Been To Hell), Breaking Benjamin (Blow Me Away), Three Days Grace (Get Out Alive) and so on.
Paradise Lost and When They Come For Me are pretty good songs.
But I'm just passing the time here. Any other interesting songs that you think could fit into a zombie based film or book? Or would you agree with me that rock and metal are great choices?

Survive Again

Hello, hope your day is going well. Been writing as much as I can today, and keep stopping due to messages on Skype. Listening to music, drinking coffee. Almost ready to release Apocalypse World and Survive together. Sharing another short preview to Survive that, I think, will give a hint as to the introduction of a group of people:

Chase snapped his fingers and looked at his group.
" The recording! We heard it and have been trying to find you. You will be happy to know that your search is done. We are the SGC."

Thanks for reading!

Checking In

Good afternoon and hope your day is going well. Having some coffee and about to continue working on Survive and then it'll be ready to be released. Have an entire stack of papers and notebooks that are in need of a binder or a filing cabinet one day.
I guess out of the series, Survive will have the most surprises.
Also, just to let everyone know, the website I created back in 2014 can't be updated. My laptop is still not working plus don't have internet access. The site I created it on does not support my phone (device as it read), so someday in the future, it will be updated.
If you read the little bit I shared from Survive, then you know Avery ends up alone. Will be sharing more later. For now, thought I would post and share whatever I'm thinking. Gonna enjoy coffee, listen to music, and begin writing again.

Ariana

A Little Taste of Survive

As promised, more posts and this one, I am sharing a little bit of Survive, the fourth book that will be released with Apocalypse World. If you have read Apocalypse World, then you know the surprise that happens. In Survive, there will be more surprises as well as characters dying. Won't tell who yet, but here is a bit from Survive:

Dropping her bag down, Avery dropped to the floor and laid there, staring up at a painted ceiling. Ducks and other random animals were smiling down at her. She rolled over onto her right side and shut her eyes tightly, swallowing the sadness and resting her head on her blood covered hands.
She was already missing everyone. Missing Alex so much that she expected to open her eyes and see him lying across from her. For the first time, Avery knew that she wouldn't reunite with anyone. She was alone. In this city, it is just her and the infected.

Thanks for reading!

Welcome Back!

Hello everyone! It has certainly been a long time. Have to do all my promoting on my phone and I realize how hard it is to do that. Anyways, you may have noticed the link below this post. Well, I have rewritten the first two books. Basically the same, but with more, pretty much like the "uncut" version like a movie. I have added more detail, a bit more violence, and a lot more language use.
Are there any new characters? No, not yet anyways. The main characters have remained as always: Holly, Avery, Jenny, Keith, and the brothers Justin and Alex. This book is a second edition, very simply titled When The Dead Came 1 & 2. It's like a two in one book.
So join the survivors as they learn to survive in a virus ridden world, meet the first survivalist group they meet (the SGO, Survivalist Group of Ohio), and yes, I gave in and added a little bit of romance. Don't worry though, it won't always be in the series, it will still be more of an apocalyptic setting and not a romance setting. Hope you enjoy and I will be back to posting as often as possible.
Oh, and coming soon, another double release: Apocalypse World/Survive. (Survive hasn't been released nor shared with you yet, but I will be sharing a few lines from that particular book).

Thanks!!
Ariana
