“Make it to the broadcasting station in Chicago, get a message out. Hopefully the towers still work. And you and the others will be reaching out to the SGC. Yall will need them, travel west.”

“Okay, I'm going to miss you,” she said, feeling her eyes tear up and she was ready to fire the gun.

“I will miss you too,” he whispered, smiling again, he hugged her,” I won't ever get to say this, but, I love you.” He stepped back and smiled again, shutting his eyes. She pulled the trigger, firing a bullet into the center of his head. She watched as his body fell to the floor, ending his life. She lowered the gun and walked back to the mess hall, everyone looking at her returning alone. She set the bag with the gun on the table in the corner and laid her head down. None of this is over yet, she repeated Keith's words in her head, none of it will ever be over.
