When The Dead Came 1 & 2

The SGC

The SGC was started by Kevin, Wyatt, Joseph, Seth, Norman, and Ryan (Ryan brought to the table his supply of weapons, ammo, and MREs from the military base he was stationed at, Wyatt his police skills, and Kevin's ability to plan things perfectly and his own skills). The group had grown over the first five months and the goal was to rescue survivors and keep them safe in a designated shelter. The group started at 26 people, having lost seven while in Los Angeles, mostly due to failure to listening to Kevin and his orders.
The group was working well together until almost a year in (around the same time that Avery, Alex, Holly, Jenny, and Keith met the SGO). They had chosen Kevin as their leader and that pissed off Chase and Dave, both of them wanting to be in charge.
With Kevin as their leader, and following his rules, they managed to save near nine hundred and eighty people in Los Angeles.
It went downhill one night when Kevin, Joseph, Seth, Howard, Zach, Chase, Toby, Brandon, Zeke, and Ryan had gone out on a supply run. While in a grocery store, they found a family (an elderly man, his daughter, her son and daughter, and husband) hiding out.
They started arguing because Chase, Zeke, Toby, and Joseph didn't want to take the family back to the safe zone. When Toby pointed his rifle at the family, Kevin started fighting with him, forcing the rifle away from them and shots fired into the ceiling. The others began to fight and that was when Chase pointed his rifle and killed the elderly man.
That was when Howard tried fighting him, but Joseph and Zeke murdered the rest of the family before them. In that same night, the others that ended up leaving locked all the survivors into the building designated as the safe zone and set it on fire.
When Kevin and his search group made it back, it was too late to save anyone and that was when Chase, Derek, Zeke, Nicholas, Quinn, Gerard, Dave, Franklin, Josh, Toby, and Joseph left because they refused to do things Kevin's way. Seth and Norman left too, not to defy Kevin and his orders, but because their little brother Joseph left.
Seth and Norman did grow to regret ever leaving as a few months passed by. They disagreed with murdering the living and taking their belongings. During the late night while everyone else slept, Seth had taken his belongings and left them.
He already knew they would track him down and try to kill him (anyone who has witnessed them murdering others usually ended up on their hit list, which explains why Drew, Evan, and Avery became targets. Later Alex was placed on the list only for standing up to them when no one else had back in Bull Creek), so Seth remained on the move, staying in the least obvious places where he figured they wouldn't find him. While in Pittsburgh, he spots Avery and tells her about the SGC and the false group, revealing their names and what to expect from them.
Norman leaves the former group when he was sent into WalMart to trick Avery and her group into coming outside. But when he takes too long (warning them), his group came in and decided to track them down their selves.
The former members of the SGC are more into destruction and murder than the true SGC, whom are more about survival and rescuing.
There are none remaining of the former members of the SGC, having been killed off by Zach and Alex.
What is known, is there are at least four remaining of the real SGC (Ryan, Simon, Kevin, and Howard).
In the end of it all, Alex was pretty much designated as a sole survivor of a survivalist group of importance when Zach allowed him to take his belongings (and when Kevin was testing him on his leadership and strength. He had it in mind the entire time to have Alex take his place if anything ever happened to him, because he seen influences reflected there).
