Back To Work!!

Greetings to you all. Sorry I haven't posted much lately, been going through issues and writers block. But now, I am back to finishing the last book, When It Ends/Aftermath. You know, I tried leaving romance out of the first books because I figured adding romance into a zombie apocalypse would kill the story; but there have been some that told me to add romance, or that it needs at least a little romance (closest to romance was Holly and her attempts at keeping a boyfriend, up until he dies from the infected). So, in this final book, I will be adding some romance. Not only between new characters (before they die), but finally someone for Avery. It's a bit of a struggle, but all I will say is it'll be her and either Alex, Trevor, or one of the members of the SGC. One of those gentlemen will finally steal her heart. That's about as close to romance as the book will get.
Speaking of the SGC, hope you will like those guys. Unlike the main characters and the SGO, they have mastered the art of surviving the apocalypse.
New characters will be in the final book as well as references to two other books that take place before When The Dead Came, along with a previous survivor from one of the books I haven't released. Will Alex finally lose it and go off the deep end? Especially after losing his brother. Below is a sample from When It Ends/Aftermath that involves what Trevor I up to, as well as a new character. Enjoy.

They walked out of the building, the sky becoming cloudy. They walked along the street, when Trevor began to take out his handgun. Kevin, looking toward a glass window to a historical building, seen Trevor raise the gun to the back of his head.
Kevin turned, gripping Trevor's right wrist and twisting, a shot ringing out into the sky. Trevor attempted to fight with Kevin, but the older guy proved to be more skilled and quick. Kevin threw a right hit against Trevor's left cheek, knocking him down.
Trevor pulled his knife and ran at him. Kevin kept the blade at bay, trying to plan his next move, not aware that they were being watched from the distance. Kevin and Trevor went slamming into a glass window, hitting the tile floor as molded food fell off the tables they knocked over.
Trevor, grabbing a large shard of glass, lifted and stabbed down into Kevin's left leg. "Argh!!!!" Kevin yelled in pain and grabbed up a glass plate, smashing it down across Trevor's face, knocking the guy unconscious for a moment.
Kevin slowly stood, pressing his hands up onto the broken window. Climbing out, he heard a gun shot, the bullet speeding pass his face. As he ran, another shot rang and he felt his side get hit. " Fuck," he yelled, holding his side as he kept running. No matter the pain, he had to keep going. He didn't intend on dying now.
